Good question, when cheap cell phone cases are a "dime a dozen." Granted, it is possible to purchase a paper-thin leather cellphone case with a plastic window for a lower price and you can find "generic" cases made of genuine plastic in your favorite drugstore for much less.
Safety.
That should be the most important consideration. We also can attach a top-quality, spring-steel belt clip for $1.00 if you are willing to trade security for "Quick Draw" convenience. Personally, we opt for the locking clasp, as illustrated. It could save your cellphone's life!
Why not leather?
Leather does not like weather! If you work outside in inclement weather, such as airline workers out on the tarmac, a lineman, construction worker, public safety employee, farmer, fireman or lumberjack, you know what water does to those leather cellular phone and radio carrying cases. We made our first cellular phone case for a small contractor who operates a concrete cutter. After spraying his heavy leather case with concrete and water for a few hours, it disintegrated!
