The principal difference between the Inspiron 1520 and 1521 notebooks is in the central processing unit. The Inspiron 1520 has Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processors and the Inspiron 1521 has AMD Turion™ 64 X2 dual core processors. Eight processors are available, with clock speeds running from 1.5 to 2.2 GHz. All have hard drives affording up to 160-GB capacities. All offer up to 2 GB of memory, a selection of optical drives that include a DVD burner, and 15.4-inch widescreen display. Wireless Networking can come from an 802.11g mini-card or 802.11a/g mini-card. An integrated 2-MP webcam is an option.
