The Dell Latitude D531 is also a cost-effective solution for a notebook built for business, yet it's no "stripped down" model. Dell uses AMD processors to power the Latitude D531. You've a choice of The Sempron™ 64 X2 CPU that runs at 1.8-GHz or the Turion™ processor with a 2.0-GHz clock-speed. Two slots afford up to 4-GB of memory and Serial ATA hard drive are available with capactites up to 120-GB. Wireless connectivity can be either Dell model 1380 WLAN for 802.11a and g formats or Dell model 1505 WLAN for modes a,g and n Wifi hotspots. Bluetooth® 2.1 is also available.
Dell offers both 14.1-inch and 15.4-inch wide-screen displays for the Latitude D531. The modular options offer a variety of CD and DVD drives, one being a DVD burner. The aperture for optical drives also accepts a Floppy Disk model, another 80-GB hard drive or a secondary 6-cell battery. Two primary batteries are available for the D531: 4 cell and 6 cell.
