Fujitsu B3000 Series Notebook: LifeBook B3020 Reviewed

In terms of clock-speed, the LifeBook B3020 is not the speediest, with an Intel® Pentium® M processor - an ultra-low voltage 733, capable of 1.10-GHz. The trade-off for battery life is worth it. The B3020 LifeBook has a 10.4-inch TFT Touch Screen aided by the Intel® 855GM graphics chipset. It comes standard with 256-MB of DDR SDRAM, but Fujitsu offers memory upgrades of 512-MB and 1-GB. The standard hard drive has 40-GB of capacity but a 60-GB HD is available. LifeBook B3020 has two USB ports, one Compact Flash slot and one Type II PCMCIA expansion slot. We like the inclusion of an 83-key, full size keyboard on B3000 Series notebooks from Fujitsu. The smaller ones found on many notebooks are deterrents to rapid, comfortable typing.
The aforementioned connectivity for the Fujitsu LifeBook B3020 is provided by integrated 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet and integrated Intel® PRO 802.11b/g Wireless LAN.
Fujitsu does offer external CD-ROM or DVD/CD-RW optical drives for the LifeBook B3000 series notebooks as options.
