Sharp PC-UM10 is the Lightweight Champion of the Notebook World at 2.89 pounds and 0.65 ..... less than 3/4 inch thin!
This review of the PC-UM10 is posted by The Pouch, Inc. an independent maker of space-saving notebook carrying cases made of tough, resilient, water-resistant Neoprene. Details are found on our Carrying Case Ordering Page below, but here's more on the sensational Sharp PC-UM10 notebook.
It has plenty of power while using the ultra-low-voltage Intel® Pentium® III 600-MHz processor and battery life, normally 3 hours with the provided battery, can be extended to 9 hours with an optional battery. You've a choice of 128 or 256-MB of SDRAM. The casing on the PC-UM10 is magnesium and it has a retractable keyboard that's state-of-the-art. Sharp is very good with liquid crytal displays and this 12.1-inch XGA AGLR TFT screen provides truly ultra-high resolution.
A minus: The optional floppy or optional 6X CD-ROM drives are outboard and USB connected via cable to the PC-UM10.
The carrying case by The Pouch, Inc. is tailor-made to specifically fit the Sharp PC-UM10 notebook like a glove. There's room in the back pocket for cables and either drive. Our factory-to-you price is $39.95 in black Neoprene and $2.00 more in a variety of colors. All are washable. More details, photos and color selection are found in the Laptop-Notebook section of The Pouch Carrying Case Page above.
