IBM keeps packing more power in ThinkPad.  The A31 runs at 1.6-GHz with a Pentium® 4-M inside. It stores 256-MB of RAM, expandable to 1024-MB, and it has a 40-GB hard drive.

UltraBay provides maximum drive capability. The DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive can be swapped for CD-ROM, CD-RW drives or IBM LS-120 SuperDisk.
