Sony aptly named the PCG-R505 series of notebooks, "SuperSlim Pro," since they are only one inch thick...or thin, if you prefer. The dimensions of all VAIO R505 notebook computers are 11 by 9 by 1" - true mini-notebooks. But, they've plenty of power in each of the four configurations. Choose from either a 750 or 850 MHz Intel® Pentium® II processor; 15 or 20GB hard drive and from 128MB to 256MB of memory. Despite the diminutive dimensions, all of notebooks in the VAIO R505 series have 12.1" XGA TFT displays. All have integrated modems.
You can get an optional outboard floppy drive or use the one in the optional Sony SlimDock® - which also offers greater connectivity.
