This is about two different sizes of carrying cases for the Sony VAIO XG series notebooks - both made by The Pouch, Inc., an independent manufacturer of notebook carrying cases.  Two sizes, because our case is made in a form-fit design, matching the outside dimensions of the notebook it is designed to protect and the VAIO XG series notebook comes in two sizes:  The XG500, which has a 13.3" XGA TFT screen and the XG700 notebook, with a 14.1 inch display.  There are other differences:  VAIO XG500 series notebooks have 10GB hard drives and the XG 700 series have 20-gig hard drives.  The versatility of both depend upon the Sony MultiBay, which permits hot-swapping of a DVD-ROM drive, a floppy disk drive, a CD-RW drive, an additional hard drive or additional battery.  We've included a link below to Sony VAIO notebooks in the event you wish to know more.  We hope you will also consider The Pouch for whichever notebook you choose.  It's a space-saving, naturally padded, water-resistant case available from our factory for $39.95 in black neoprene or $2.00 more in a variety of colors.
