The Pepper Pad is, well different - in many ways. To begin, no Microsoft. The Pepper Pad 3 runs on Linux Kernel 2.6 software, the platform in your TiVo boxes and the pet software of Linux lovers, many of whom are programmers who love the fact that the framework for Linux is free for the taking. Pepper Computer Inc. is having the Pepper Pad 3 made by HANBIT Electronics.
The hard drive in Pepper Pad 3 has a 20-GB capacity. The memory: 256-MB of SDRAM and it is powered by an AMD 500-Mhz processor. It has a keyboard, half of which is on side of the 7-inch touch screen, the other half on the opposite side of the screen. Hunt and peck may be the preferred typing method. But since you can use the stylus to write messages or make drawings and navigate the various menus and icons without taking the Pepper Pad 3 out of the special Pouch Carrying Case for Tablets.
