The purchaser of the Dell Vostro 1500 notebook can choose from either an Intel® Celeron™ M540, 1.86-GHZ processor or a Core™ 2 Duo CPU with a clock-speed of 1.6, 1.8 or 2.2-GHz. Memory can range from 512-MB up to 4-GB of SDRAM. Hard drives with 80, 120 or 160-gigabytes are available. The optical drive for the Vostro 1500 can be a CD/DVD burner with double-layer support. 802.11g Wi-Fi Hot Spot connectivity can come with the Dell 1390 Wireless Mini-Card. The display on the Dell Vostro 1500 notebook is a 15-inch widescreen. A 2-MP webcam is available as an option. Any of the Windows® Vista™ software platforms are available for installation by Dell, though any beyond Vista™ Home Basic are optional. Both a 6 and 9 cell battery are available for the Vostro 1500.
